Why should I be “The One”: Well, I don’t like to toot my own horn, but I’d toot the horn on a sports car if I was given one. But seriously, I currently drive a small Japanese “sports car” that is a year older than I am and will be in the market for a “mid-life crisis” car that can baby in the next couple years (well, not baby by then, but toddler at least, the boy is 3 weeks old today).
Oh, a real reason? Well, I’ve always considered myself an automotive enthusiast. I grew up in Detroit loving everything with a motor. I’m trying to instill that love in my daughter, who is a great helper in the garage. Depending on what kind of “free stuff” would be happening, she’d most likely be my co-pilot. Our Daddy-Daughter time has been cut short recently with the new baby’s arrival.

I wish people would let me do stuff in cars for free because right now I have to pay to do stuff in cars.
Over the last 10+ years, I’ve been taking part in automotive events in the NW. From drag racing, drifting, auto-x, rally classes and helping staff some of these events to attending concours, forum meets, vintage races, car shows and all just to take in the sights and sounds of mechanized rolling metal. I’ve taken to pictures, writing, and video as of late as it is a slightly more affordable way to enjoy the car life, although I do miss wrenching and revving on my own vehicles (for fun that is, I still have to wrench as none of my cars are anywhere near under warranty).
So, in conclusion, I should be Miss Oppo becau...... I volunteer myself to do stuff in cars in Seattle for free - and whilst representing those of Opponation, I promise to be as oppo as allowed when in said sports car, and provide proof in the form of written/photographed/moving pictures of proposed oppoing.
I also have a IS300 wagon which has to count for something.
